2015 saw Pebbles Rentals Ltd join ABTA – the UK’s largest travel association. ABTA has been a trusted travel brand for over 65 years and to mark our tenth year of trading, we decided to join them. What does this mean for you?

Trust

It is well documented that many rental websites are just advertising services and as such there is a much greater risk of misrepresentation and fraud. There are also bogus companies out there. As a member of ABTA you can be assured we have been vetted, that we do exist, and that we adhere to a code of conduct as a provider of your holiday accommodation. That is a given. Read on for what else it means to you that we are an ABTA accredited member.

High standards

As a member of ABTA, we must abide by ABTA’s code of conduct which means you can expect accurate advertising and fair terms of trading including how we manage changes to bookings and how we manage any complaints. It’s worth pointing out that at Pebbles less than 1% of our customers have ever complained for every year we have traded. We strive for the same statistics for 2016 and beyond. If you do have a complaint that we can’t resolve, rest assured that through ABTA you are guaranteed access to ABTA’s complaint resolution procedure. If we can’t resolve your complaint, go to www.abta.com to use ABTA’s simple procedure. Further information on the Code and ABTA’s assistance in resolving disputes can be found on www.abta.com. You can also access the European Commission Online Dispute (ODR) Resolution platform. This ODR platform is a means of registering your complaint with us; it will not determine how your complaint should be resolved.

Financial Protection

What is perhaps more important to our guests is that ABTA means all UK guests are protected financially in the event that we are no longer financially viable as a business. With a decade of trading behind us, we don’t envisage any issues, but we appreciate guests can need more than “our word is our bond”, so we have an actual bond instead. As part of ABTA’s terms, Pebbles Rentals Ltd has a bond with Lloyds bank which is assigned to ABTA and protect you, our customer. If the very unexpected happens, you’ll be able to get your money back or carry on your holiday as planned.

Crisis Assistance

With travel comes the unexpected. In our own ten years of trading we’ve seen volcanic dust, snow, strikes, government travel restrictions and yes, sadly terrorist attacks worldwide. If you book with us, then ABTA are there to help you with around-the-clock expert advice if there is an unexpected crisis which affects your holiday with us.

SAS Pebbles concierge is contracted to carry out all guest services including all housekeeping and maintenance. You’re never alone when you book with Pebbles. We’re here to ensure you have the best possible stay with us. Unlike booking directly with an owner, all our properties offer uniformity and high standards across the board, be that the crisp white linen and towels, the toiletries, the welcome basket, or the most important of all – just being on hand to help you throughout your stay. That’s why Pebbles concierge meets every guest personally and shows them around our owner properties.
