On-line Guide: Spain to play in Nice during EURO2016

Welcome Cesc Fàbregas! Hello David de Gea! Because from June 10th Nice will host the Spanish EURO2016 squad as they compete in Europe’s largest ever football tournament.
All in all, Nice’s gleaming new Allianz Riviera stadium will host three group games. Poland vs Northern Ireland on 12th June. Spain vs Turkey on 17th June. Sweden vs Belgium on 22nd June.
Plus a crunch round-of-16 playoff between the winners of Group B (possibly England) and runners-up in Group F (most likely Portugal) on 27th June.
Don’t forget about Marseille, just two hours down the coast by TGV. It will also host six EURO2016 games and welcome the likes of England, Russia and France. We ho pe Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane like bouillabaisse.
If you hadn’t planned on a menu of soccer and salade Niçoise this summer, fear not. The official UEFA match ticket website has just placed a new batch of tickets on sale. Seats start at just €10 a pop, giving you more money to spend with tournament drinks partner Carlsberg. Free shuttle buses will serve all four matches from place Massena.
Ticketless fans will still have a ball. Two giant FanZones will occupy will show all 51 EURO2016 games free-of-charge. With babyfoot tournament, DJs and other animations the atmosphere will be electric. The best area is set to be the 8,000-capacity FanZone in place Massena’s Theatre de Verdure, which will seat fans in an alfresco amphitheatre around the big screen.
Want to join the party? Pebbles still have dozens of two, four, six and eight bedroom apartments available to rent for the tournament’s duration from June 10th to July 10th. Each property features superfast WiFi so you can keep up with the action. We’ve even thrown in a EURO2016 beer pack for each arrival.
