Traditional Features & Old Town Charm A rustic 1 bedroomed apartment, in an 18th century building, sympathetically restored in the heart of the Old Town. The apartment is situated on the first floor and is one of just six residences, so the common parts are quiet and well looked after. Rue de la Croix benefits from all the character and charm of the Old Town, but is tucked away at the top of Rue Rossetti so that only a gentle buzz of contented tourists can be heard. The neighbouring building, the historic Chapelle Sainte-Croix, a truly quaint baroque chapel, completes this pretty picture. The owners have restored and decorated the apartment with a tasteful blend of old and new styled furnishings. The open plan living area, with large windows for maximum light, is extremely spacious, especially for a 1 bedroom apartment and all home comforts are provided for, including a large black leather Habitat sofa and contrasting French chaise longue, hip Harry Bertoia chairs, and a classic oak dining table. An air bed is provided for additional sleeping if required. A 20-inch LCD screen and a DVD hi-fi system (which includes the facility of playing music from your MP3 player) is also available to complete your holiday. Throughout the apartment there is great attention to detail in the artwork and ornaments, creating an apartment with soul! The brand new stand-alone Habitat kitchen complements the apartment well. There is a large traditional ceramic sink, an integrated fan-assisted oven, a hob, and an extractor. A kettle, cafetiera, toaster, microwave, and large fridge-freezer, along with all usual utensils ensures you have everything you need to cook a Niçois meal. A highchair is also provided. |

Leading off from the open plan living area, before you reach the bedroom,
is the bathroom. The white tiled bathroom suite is modern and stylish with
a small bath with shower above. Spot lighting completes the look. The double bedroom with its double Laura Ashley solid oak bed is at the back of the apartment and is very quiet and private as the window only faces out onto the central core of the building. A clothes rail concealed by a white curtain, matching that covering the window, adds a romantic feel to the bedroom. Two table lights can soften the lighting, the main light situated on the wall on the right hand side as you enter the bedroom. The apartment is located in the central hub of the Old Town. It is the perfect location to explore Nice. With the bus station just a 5 minute walk away, you can explore the whole of the Côte d'Azur very easily. Walking for just a few minutes in the opposite direction will bring you to the Cours Saleya and then the Promenade and beach.
