Calm and Comfort in the City What struck us most about this apartment is that it's very quiet, despite being on Rue Emma which is just off Nice's main high street Jean Médecin. The spacious one bedroomed apartment is reached up one flight of stairs in the main building, and then through a small courtyard and then to another flight of stairs. There is no apartment above. It's rather unique to be in the centre of town, but just two flights of stairs away from privacy, tranquillity, and a great feeling of personal space. As you enter the apartment you are greeted by lots of light. The apartment benefits from an open plan aspect and patio windows lead onto a small balcony overlooking the courtyard. This is complimented by two large kitchen windows again facing onto the central courtyard in the middle of the building. Combined with smooth plastered cream walls, ceramic tiles, clean lines, and spotlights throughout, makes this apartment feel spacious and airy. The modern kitchen consists of a white worktop with metallic grey units and a built-in dishwasher. Appliances are aplenty in the kitchen with a coffee maker, microwave, huge combination hob with a central electric induction ring and four surrounding gas rings (so you can use the energy you're used to at home). There is also a very large fridge freezer as well as a kettle, toaster, and all necessary utensils. To the left of the kitchen area is a round dining table with four matching chairs. A breakfast bar with three breakfast stools completes the mould of modern living. Moving to the living area you will find two state-of-the-art Japanese sofa beds, which the Japanese owner has shipped from Japan for her apartment. They are sturdy and comfortable as both beds and sofas. They are very easy to change into sofa beds. There is also a grand lamp, a coffee table, large rug, a large cabinet, and a TV (French TV only), hi-fi, and DVD player. There is artwork on the walls and the apartment has a remote-controlled air conditioning unit. The layout of this apartment makes use of all available space and a small hallway, then brings you to the bedroom. The bedroom benefits from two large windows letting in lots of light. It hosts a double bed, reading lights, a huge mirrored wardrobe, and lots of shelving units. It also has a second TV and an electric ceiling fan which is fantastic in hot weather. The ceiling fan will compliment the air conditioning in the apartment. |

Next door is the bathroom suite with modern white and blue tiles and a bath and shower. There is also a vanity unit, mirror, and washing machine. The washing machine is ideally placed with a work top over which is great for storing your cosmetics. There is also a heated towel rail and shelving. The WC is in another room to the left of the bathroom.
This apartment was recently renovated, and when it was done great care was taken to add extra features. The windows come with mosquito nets. There is a hidden safe for personal effects, back-lit glass tiled coving effects, and at least 50 spotlights throughout. We also think a plus is the gas heated school radiators for winter. The apartment is in a modern, well-maintained building on Rue Emma. You are right in the heart of the shopping district, and you are within the hustle and bustle of Nice in less than a minute. Good restaurants are on your doorstep! All of the major places in Nice, including the Old Town, are 15 minute walks away. This is also a great apartment if you plan to tour around the Côte d'Azur, as the train station is a 10 minute walk away. We are flexible on arrival dates, times, and length of your stay. We can usually offer a discount on bookings of less than a week. Prices are in British Pounds Sterling.
