Classy & Contemporary with a Romantic Twist This 3-bedroomed apartment just off the Port of Nice, known locally as Port Nicea, boasts no less than 4 balconies, a huge open plan living area with air conditioning, a DVD player, and Sky television with full subscription. "Wow Factors" are abundant in this extremely spacious second floor apartment in a renovated historic Niçois building. A real home away from home, the apartment boasts high quality furnishings and decor, including original artwork by the owner. As you walk into the apartment you are immediately greeted by lots of light which streams into the apartment from the five huge windows that surround the open plan living area. Real wood flooring and high ceilings complement the feeling of a huge airy space. The kitchen has everything you need to cook family meals including a microwave, huge range cooker with a grill, fridge freezer, kettle, and toaster. There is also a dishwasher and all necessary tableware and utensils. The kitchen worktop looks out onto the main living area separated by a large zinc breakfast bar. On the other side of the breakfast bar, there are three contemporary bar stools for those who want to watch the cook at work. In the living area itself are two huge extremely comfortable white leather sofas, from where you can relax and watch the full Sky package including films and sports channels. The living area leads onto a dining area which seats six. A large modern light fitting with dimmer switch is fitted over the table for cosy dinner parties and to the right of the table there are two large storage areas fitted with louvred doors. Throughout the open plan living area there are complimentary tables, drawers, chairs, cushions, and large painted canvasses which all add a touch of class to the apartment. The master bedroom hosts romantic French furniture and French doors lead out into a small balcony, perfect for pleasant morning breakfasts. This is just one of the four balconies from which you can enjoy the Mediterranean sun from breakfast onwards. Bedrooms two and three host four poster beds. The second bedroom has a double bed and the third a single. Please note that the third bedroom leads off from the second and so would be unsuitable if the guests in the second room did not want to be disturbed. |

(cont'd) A huge bath with shower attachment is the focal point of the large bathroom, positioned on the right. A walk-in shower is to the left and centrally there is a large sink with storage space underneath. On the back wall there is a large mirror and a towel radiator and a well placed plug socket for hair drying or shaving. Tucked neatly away, the bathroom also hosts a washing machine and separate tumble dryer.
The apartment was originally built to house the entourage of the House of Lascaris. Just next to the port, it is centrally situated within easy walking distance (10 minutes) of all that Nice has to offer, including the famous Promenade des Anglais and the Old Town. It also benefits from being in a quiet residential block of French owners where you can experience real Nice with small local shops including a delicious patisserie and a traditional boulangerie around the corner. A locals bar at street level serves drinks and lunches which adds ambience in the day, but it closes after early evening so you can enjoy tranquillity. A small convenience store is less than a minutes walk away and for more substantial shopping Carrefour, a hypermarket, with other high street stores in the complex, is within a 10-minute walking distance. The fantastic Michelin-starred restaurant Jouni is almost opposite the apartment and the Michelin-starred restaurant l'Ane Rouge is just a three minute walk away. The bus station and the train station, Riquier, are also within easy walking distance. For those with cars, there are two large public car parks nearby one at the port and the other named Rue Barla a few minutes walk away.
