Portside Views and Stylish Interior
The piece de resistance in this apartment is that you can take breakfast in bed whilst looking out to sea at the anchored boats. The views of the port and the hills above can be seen from each of the four large double-glazed windows that span this apartment. Where ever you are in the apartment, the views are just a glance away. The view shown on the slide show was taken from one of the windows in this second floor apartment.

This apartment was originally two studio apartments until the owners bought them both and converted them into their preferred way of holiday living -- complete open plan with the only doors being those on the bathrooms. The two separate bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms are on a large mezzanine which partially overlooks the open plan living space below. All this adds a sense of luxury space and makes the most of the views. It perhaps goes without saying that this apartment benefits from tons of natural light throughout and you are not at all overlooked.

The living area consists of two large contemporary black leather sofas with complimenting large red cushions, a large glass coffee table and a glass console unit with a 20-inch LCD screen, Denon Hi-fi, and DVD player.

The dining area comprises a large oak table with seating for six, where you can dine overlooking the port. The buttercup coloured kitchen units and built-in oven and two ring hob compliment stylish holiday living. To the immediate left of the kitchen units there is a washing machine.

Spotlights, stylish lamps and wall lights, ornaments, canvasses, and tables are placed throughout to give a classy feel to this apartment. The deep redwood laminate floor compliments the look.

The spiral stairway in the kitchen area brings you onto the divided mezzanine where you will find one of the bedrooms and bathrooms. Taking the open staircase in the living area leads you to the other bedroom and bathroom. As you might expect from two studios which have been knocked into one larger apartment, both bathrooms and bedrooms are similar in size and design.

(cont'd) The bathrooms are very contemporary styled in a satin stucco finish, complimented by glass and chrome fixtures and whitewashed blue tiles. One hosts a bath, with shower attachment, and the other a shower, so all needs are catered for.

The bedrooms both have the same mirrored wardrobes, but one hosts a Habitat wooden framed double bed with reading lights and a dressing table whilst the other bedroom accommodates 2 single beds and a bedside table with a bedside lamp. The single beds can be easily pushed together, if required. Most impressively, both bedrooms enable you to view the port whilst in bed.

The apartment is on Quai Lunel, one of the most well-known streets of Nice. It is on the second floor. There is no lift. There are fabulous restaurants on your doorstep, one of them La Nautique, two floors below. It is a five-minute stroll around the peninsular on the Promenade des Anglais to the Old Town, hitting the Cours Saleya first. The bus station is a 15 minute walk away. The train station is 30 minutes away. Should you wish to bring a car, there is parking available on the port.

Whilst the owners and their friends bring children to this apartment, parents with young children might find it unsuitable. The mezzanine stainless steel railings could be dangerous for small children at play.
