First Rate Place in Nice's Golden Square
Three double bedrooms and two bathrooms are the major plus points in this apartment making it ideal for a family or for a group of friends. The other plus points are a recently renovated modern interior, a fantastic finish making it stylish and contemporary, and well chosen furnishings. Thoughtful decorative touches feature throughout and a large terrace is perfect for alfresco dining. The light, high ceilings and location all add to the mix of apartment luxury.

As soon as you walk into the art deco apartment building you have the promise of something special. It is rather grand and typically French with a lift and polished wood staircase. Once inside you can activate the electric shutters (always a posh touch), and then await the flood of light which then enters the apartment bouncing off the shiny wooden floor.

Walking inside, you are met with a contemporary cream and chrome kitchen which has everything anyone could need. As well as an oven, hob, fridge-freezer that you might expect, the apartment also has a dishwasher, microwave, cafetiere, kettle, toaster, and every type of cooking instrument you could ever need as well as plenty of glassware. This showroom-styled kitchen is complimented by spotlights above.

To the left of the kitchen is a large glass table and contemporary high-backed grey chairs seating six.

The living area comprises of a large red corner sofa which can easily fit six, a glass coffee table and white sheepskin rug, and a glass home entertainment stand with DVD player and LCD screen. There is also a thoughtful state-of-the-art lamp with dimmer switch to compliment the lighting above.

From the living area you can access the terrace, as you can from the bedroom. There are two tables and six chairs, all part of a modern white garden furniture set. The terrace is enclosed by a solid half wall making it safe for children. The terrace is reasonably large and perfect for breakfast or an evening bottle of wine. It isn't a very busy road and the terrace is set back enough to still be pleasant.

Two of the bedrooms are at the front of the apartment, just to the left of the living area. One is of a very good size with two twin beds which can easily be pushed together if preferred. The bedroom also has a large built-in wardrobe, bedside tables, and drawers.

Next door is a longer bedroom that the owners have cleverly made into another twin room by connecting beds, not above each other, but next to each other, joined by the same frame. This gives the room as much space whilst allowing easy accommodation of six people. Both bedrooms benefit from quality double glazing and electric shutters to aid a good night's sleep.

(cont'd) Moving towards the back of the apartment, you first come across the shower room, located in the middle of the apartment, with easy access from the hallway and the two front bedrooms. This consists of a built-in shower, a large basin, a WC, and a washing machine. The bathroom is decorated in attractive expensive slate tiles.

At the back of the apartment is the master bedroom with the king size bed, built in wardrobes and drawers. Lots of light, like all the bedrooms, streams into this back bedroom and there is a pretty view of trees and shrubbery outside as well as a (very small) balcony.

The master bathroom is conveniently, for the master bedroom guests at least, located just across the hall from the master bedroom. This plush bathroom would be fitting in any top hotel's suite with its expensive slate tiles, a huge corner bath with shower attachment, a large sink with a vanity unit, and if you like that sort of thing, a bidet.

The apartment is located on the first floor of an impressive Art Deco building just off the pedestrian area on Avenue Marechal Joffre. It's very central and a popular area of town for the more well-heeled traveller. The area is described as the Carré d'Or region. the "Golden Square". Not surprisingly given the name, it's a well-connected area with fantastic restaurants and very close to Nice's most exclusive shops. There is a delicious patisserie and traditional boulangerie around the corner, perfect for your terrace breakfast.

The bus station is about a 15 minute walk away, but a lot of the buses travel down from the bus station to Avenue Marechal Joffre, so you can pick up the bus practically on your doorstep. There are also two car parks very nearby.

We are flexible on arrival dates, times, and length of your stay. We can usually offer a discount on bookings of less than a week.
