This apartment is on the fifth floor and there is no lift. It's not for you if you are not of reasonable fitness. Having said that, the walk up to the apartment will all seem worthwhile when you are enjoying a cold drink and admiring the view over the rooftops.

As this is a top floor rental apartment, there is a mezzanine area in the roof. A small family, or a group of friends, might take advantage of the two mattresses stored here, or to store luggage.

The apartment is situated on one of the main streets of the Old Town, near to the bus station and tram-line. Rue Pairolière is one of the main shopping streets of the Old Town which leads onto the famous fish market on Place St François. Situated underneath the apartment are the typical Old Nice shops and restaurants, including a popular ice cream parlour. There is a launderette just a two-minute walk away. It serves as the perfect base to explore the whole of the Côte d'Azur.

From the door of this apartment, you will be immersed into the ambience of the Old Town, day or night. The walk to the beach will be short and pleasurable as you soak up the atmosphere passing all of the main squares, St François, Place Rossetti, and then the Cours Saleya on your way.

The living area has a two seater sofa as well as a chair. There is a LCD TV and DVD player with a French cable package and wi-fi.

The open plan living area has a set of patio doors leading directly onto the fabulous terrace. The terrace has a simple mosaic dining table at one end, and two deck chairs perfect for a sunny day at the other. Being at the back of the apartment, with no through street below, the terrace is relatively quiet in the evening and a gentle buzz of activity and passing shoppers is all that can be heard from the pedestrianised area below.

The kitchen is quite small, but you will be able to rustle up simple meals. It is equipped with a two-ring ceramic hob and extractor, a fridge, a microwave, and kettle. There is also a fold-out dining table should you choose to eat inside.

The bedroom houses a double bed from Habitat and fitted mirrored wardrobes. Access to the terrace can be gained through small patio doors. You can access the terrace through the living area as well as the bedroom.

The well-appointed modern bathroom has a bath with shower over as well as a wash basin vanity unit and WC. The bathroom is located off the open plan living area.

Terrace apartment has, depending on your point of view, cute or annoying occasional extra guests. Very friendly neighbouring cats. They are now almost part of the furniture and guests have expressed much disappointment if they are not honoured with their presence during their stay. But this apartment is not for you if you don't take well to our feline friends.
