On exit, how did we do?
Working for Nice Pebbles was one of my best experiences so far! As part of my year abroad, I spent five months doing an internship here to improve my level of French in preparation for my final year of University. Not only have I learnt essential communication skills in both English and French, I have also gained a detailed insight into both the French and English property market; two things of which I came to learn differ significantly. With business studies being part of my degree, I was able to use and expand the skills I have learnt, opening my eyes to the real world of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Olivia Gorrie, December 2016, Nottingham University
I spent 8 months with the rentals department in Nice as part of my degree course. Pebbles is a great company to work for; they really made me feel like one of the family. I worked as a 'representative' and had a number of different roles. No two days were the same which I found really exciting. One minute I could be welcoming some guests to their apartment and the next I would be meeting a workman or doing some research. The job is an active one, which I really enjoyed and, although I did do work in the office, I also got the chance to explore Nice. Nice is a brilliant city with so much activity and is a great place to be based.
Jack Ettinger, October 2016, Nottingham University
As part of my year abroad I spent 5 months doing an internship with Pebbles in order to improve my French, I was based at the Nice office and all the staff made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. This placement gave me a good insight into how real estate works in France and it surprised me how different it is compared to the UK, as the majority of the agencies work together. For me, this was the best part of the job because I was able to meet and speak to new people every day, be it clients or other estate agents in Nice. The responsibilities which I had ranged from property viewings to working with the notary.

What some (slightly older) graduates think about Pebbles
The opportunity to work at Pebbles is not one youíll want to miss. Its multi-national, bilingual environment comes with a variety of challenges. You have to hit the ground running in order to pick up the necessary skills to survive. Itís not only important business communication skills, in both English and French, that youíll learn; but the nuances of how to gel in two totally different working cultures.
Jonathan, Graduated from the University of Manchester in 2013, started with Pebbles in 2014
Being able to go between offices means I've been able to significantly improve my French and experience living in an interesting part of the world whilst not cutting myself off from my friends and family back home.
Itís the perfect job straight out of Uni, a chance to use your French straight away in the working business world, but in a more relaxed environment. Youíll see how the business ideals youíve studied at uni can be instantly expanded and utilised in this consistently flourishing market.
Lily, Graduated from University College Cork 2014, started with Pebbles in 2015
From the start Pebbles were an instantly understandable company, letting me start my contract a bit later than originally planned due to things I had to get sorted out first. I'm certain we'd be a great option for current students and graduates as we can offer temporary, fixed-term and permanent contracts.
Johnte, Graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in 2011, started with Pebbles in 2015
I learnt my basic customer service skills working for local businesses shortly after finishing college. Joining Pebbles really helped me develop these skills further through communication with guests in the UK office and also meeting guests face-to-face in Nice. Iím very much looking forward to growing with the company and putting my Customer Service NVQ into practice.
Katie Ann, started with Pebbles in 2016
Working as a junior for Pebbles straight out of college was a great way to start off my career, as I was able to learn about the working world as well as get a further college qualification with a tutor. Pebbles has given me the opportunity to grow within the company and also travel to our French office which is a bonus!
