On-line Guide: Getting along with the neighbours…
Posted Mar 2018 in Guest Info
When you stay with Pebbles, you’ll get the best of both worlds; traditional French buildings that don’t compromise on luxury or quality. Many of our properties are located in grand apartment blocks in the heart of Nice – and whilst it’s great to live like a local alongside les Niçoises, it’s important to respect the neighbours in the buildings that you stay in, and remember that they are probably not on holiday and won’t be happy to be kept awake until late in the night if they have work the next day.
Sometimes though the boot is on the other foot – you may hear noise from neighbours everyday living: chairs scraping, vacuuming, the thumping of excited children running around and some doors banging. If you find the noise excessive, do as you might do at home and go and speak to the neighbour – most of the time they will not realise they are causing a nuisance and will try to be quieter. In the rare occasions we have a problem, then we will have to contact the police for them to take more draconian action – please get in touch with us if we need to call the police on your behalf.
We are afraid we cannot be responsible for noisy neighbours, especially since many apartments in the building will also be rented with short term holiday guests. However, we would appreciate knowing if there is a problem, so we can try and complain to the building management if the problem persists.
